1.Overview
Receipt Vault (“the App”) is a private receipt, warranty, and expense organizer published by Sylvabit Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. The short version: your receipts and the data you enter stay on your device. We do not run accounts, we do not have a server that stores your receipts, and we do not sell your data.
2.Information We Do Not Collect
The App is built to minimize data. We do not require you to create an account or sign in, and we do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your receipt images, PDFs, or the text recognized from them;
- Merchant names, amounts, dates, categories, notes, or warranty information you record;
- Your name, email address, phone number, or precise location;
- Contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
Optical character recognition (OCR) — the scanning that reads text from a receipt — runs entirely on your device. Receipt images are never sent to us or to a cloud OCR service.
3.Information Processed by Third-Party Services
A few essential platform services process limited data so the App can function. We do not control these services and recommend reviewing their own privacy policies.

4.Device Permissions
The App requests permissions only to provide specific features. You can grant or revoke them in your device settings at any time.

5.Data You Choose to Export or Share
The App lets you export your records (for example as a CSV or JSON backup) and share individual receipts using your device’s share sheet. These actions are entirely user-initiated. Once you share or export data, it leaves the App and is handled by the destination you choose (such as email, cloud storage, or another app), under that service’s terms — not ours.
6.Data Retention & Deletion
Because your data is stored locally, it remains on your device until you delete it. You can:
- Delete an individual receipt or folder within the App;
- Clear all App data from your device settings; or
- Uninstall the App, which removes its local database and stored files from your device.
Purchase records held by RevenueCat and the app stores are retained under their respective policies so that purchases can be restored.
7.Security
Your data is stored within the App’s private storage area provided by your device’s operating system. You may enable an optional biometric or passcode app lock for an additional layer of protection. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but keeping data on-device significantly reduces exposure compared to cloud-based services.
8.Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9.Your Rights
Since we do not collect or hold your personal data on our servers, most data-subject requests (access, correction, deletion) are fulfilled directly by you through the App and your device. For questions about data processed by RevenueCat or the app stores, please contact those providers. You may also contact us using the details below.
10.International Users
The App can be used worldwide. Where third-party services (such as RevenueCat or the app stores) process limited data, that processing may occur in countries other than your own, under those providers’ safeguards.
11.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above and post the updated version at this URL. Material changes may also be communicated within the App.
